jwst.assign_wcs.nrs_fs_slit_id(slit_name)

Get the slit ID corresponding to a fixed slit name.

Parameters:

slit_namestr

The name of the slit to identify.

Returns:

int

The standard ID for the slit. Returns -100 if the slit name was not recognized.
